Sometimes the sea is really troubled,

the waves have a lot of energy 

and always come from the front. 

 

They don’t allow my boat to move forwards. 

It threatens to capsize. 

So I have to be careful not to sink. 

 

The sky is dark and it seems as if the sun will never shine again. 

 

What can I do then? 

If I turn so that my boat is parallel to the waves, it has less resistance. 

It then rises and falls gently with the waves. 

 

It will be less able to stay on course because it will drift. 

However, it somehow makes progress with less energy 

and thus gets closer and closer to its destination.
