feeling tied
Sometimes I feel so tired. I would love to stay in bed.
But the sea has so much energy, it brings wave after wave, from all sides. It won’t let me rest.
So I stay awake. I take my anxiety on my lap, she is also very restless.
She visualises everything that could happen if we lose control.
I answer her: ‘Don’t worry. We won’t let ourselves get rattled. We’ll just stay a bit vigilant.
We’ll take it one wave at a time and even if everything seems dark in the sky.
There are always little lights like confetti. I’m sure the sea will calm down at some point and the sky will turn blue again.
Until then, we’ll celebrate the confetti moments too.”
So me and my anxiety also celebrate the brief bright, calm moments in the storm of life.
